KINUMPIRMA ng Palasyo na natuloy ang telephone summit nina Pangulong Duterte at Chinese President Xi Jinping kung saan kabilang sa mga natalakay ay ang ginagawang pananakop ng Russia sa Ukraine at ang West Philippine Sea.
“President Duterte and President Xi expressed deep concern over developments in other parts of the world, including Ukraine. The two Presidents renewed the call for a peaceful resolution of the situation through dialogue in accordance with international law,” sabi ng Palasyo.
Idinagdag ng Palasyo na kapwa binigyan diin ng dalawang lider panatiliin ang kapayapaan, seguridad at stability sa West Philippine Sea.
“Both leaders acknowledged that even while disputes existed, both sides remained committed to broaden the space for positive engagements which reflected the dynamic and multidimensional relations of the Philippines and China,” ayon pa sa Palasyo.
Natalakay din ang Covid-19.
“The telephone conversation was open, warm and positive, and lasted for one hour,” ayon pa sa Malacanang.
