DAPAT isapubliko ang nilalaman ng kasunduan sa pagitan ng Estados Unidos at Pilipinas sa Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement, ayon kay Batangas Rep. Ralph Recto.
“As the number of EDCA bases mutate into nine, the administration should brief Congress and tell the public on where these additional four will be,” sabi ni Recto.
Pinirmahan ang kasunduan sa EDCA matapos ang pagbisita sa Pilipinas ni US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
“What triggered the expansion? Are the 9 bases the sum of our fears? In principle, this is an administration prerogative I support. But I ask that whatever agreements be made public and the pros and cons be told,” aniya.
