NANINIWALA si presidential spokesperson Harry Roque na ayaw ng University of the Philippines na maging matagumpay siya kaya kinokontra nito ang nominasyon niya sa International Law Commission.
Ani Roque, hindi naman siya nasorpresa sa desisyon ng UP.
“Because I know them. I know their nature. They don’t want anyone else to succeed. So I just let them be,” dagdag niya.
Nitong nakaraang linggo ay inihayag ng UP Diliman Executive Committee na si Roque at mayroong “very poor track record of promoting, defending, and fulfilling human rights and the rule of law, especially during the administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.”
“Therefore, his inclusion in the Commission would not serve its purposes but instead diminish the reputation of the body,” dagdag ng board.
