HALOS wala nang natirang pangalan sa listahan ng mga kandidato ng 1Sambayan matapos tumanggi ang limang personalidad sa kanilang nominasyon.
Kabilang sa mga tumanggi sa suporta at nominasyon sina Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Sen. Nancy Binay, human rights lawyer Atty. Chel Diokno, Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto, at religious leader Bro. Eddie Villanueva.
Rason nina Binay, Diokno at Santos-Recto, hindi sila tatakbo bilang pangulo o ikalawang pangulo sa 2022 elections.
Wala namang interes na muling sumali sa politika si Villanueva habang hindi nagbigay ng rason si Moreno sa pag-ayaw.
Bago sila, tumanggi rin sina Sen. Grace Poe at Sen. Panfilo Lacson na makasama sa listahan ng 1Sambayan.
Ani Santos-Recto: “I sincerely thank 1Sambayan for considering me. I have no plans for 2022. I am focused on assisting Lipa City in its vaccination program and in providing assistance to families who need it most. Furthermore, I have my legislative duties to attend to.”
“I am very honored by the nomination, although I never aspired for those positions. Right now, I am focused on my Free Legal Helpdesk, and I hope to serve our country, especially the youth and the ordinary Filipino, in justice, accountability, and relief from the pandemic,” sabi naman ni Diokno.
Paliwanag naman ng anak ni Villanueva na si Sen. Joel Villanueva: “We are not interested to embark on a journey to the Presidency especially after the tragedy that the family has gone through the past year,” aniya na ang pinatutungkulan ay ang magkasunod na pagkamatay ng ina at kapatid niya noong isang taon.
Sina Vice President Leni Robredo at dating Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ang natitirang nominado ng 1Sambayan.
1Sambayan tinabla nina Ate Vi Nancy, Diokno, Bro. Eddie, Isko
