ISANG Filipino diplomat na babae ang pinakahuling biktima ng hate crime sa New York, ayon sa Consul General na si Elmer Cato.
“Our colleage reported that as soon as she step on the train, she was accosted by an individual who started asking her, ‘where did you come from’ and he said ‘you should go back to your country.’ He said the f-word and he said ‘all of you should die’,” sabi ni Cato.
Hindi tinukoy ng opisyal ang diplomat, ang ika-13 biktima ng hate crime o harassment laban sa mga Pinoy sa New York.
“We reported the incident to the New York police department sa anti-hate crime desk nila, so sana mabigyan ng pansin ang isyu na ito na paataas nang pataas pa rin,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
