PINATANGGAL sa mga pamilihan sa ilang bansa sa Europe ang ilang batch ng sikat na Pinoy instant noodles brand dahil kontaminado umano ang mga ito ng harmful chemicals.
Nagbabala rin ang mga pamahalaan ng France, Ireland at Malta sa kanilang mga mamamayan na huwag kumain ng nasabing instant noodles brand dahil mayroon itong mataas na lebel ng ethylene oxide.
Ayon sa babala, ang mga kuwestiyunableng instant noodles ay gawa sa Thailand.
Kabilang sa mga ipina-recall na flavors ay “original,” “beef noodles,” “kalamansi, “hot chili,” at “chilimansi.”
Ang ethylene oxide ay ginagamit sa paggawa ng pesticides at disinfectants.
“Although the consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute risk to health, there may be health issues if there is continued consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period of time. Therefore, exposure to this substance needs to be minimised. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batch,” ayon sa advisory ng Ireland.
