Baste Duterte to critics: Leave my father’s private life alone

DAVAO CITY Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on Sunday defended former president Rodrigo Duterte from renewed criticisms about his personal life, saying people should stop meddling in his father’s relationships.

In a post on social media, Baste responded to what he described as unnecessary attacks on his father, particularly involving women linked to the former President.

“All of these fine ladies touched the life and heart of my father. No one is above or below the other, including my mother. It is what it is,” he wrote.

“So, to any camp: If you don’t stop, it will reveal more of who you are rather than who he is (PRRD THE HOKAGE). Because behind every man, is a woman who believed in him before he believed in himself. Pamalandong ana,” he added.

Baste ended his post with a blunt appeal: “So again, you are all sem sem but difalen, leme labyu long time. Enough said. Stop it.”
