Tingog, Lakas-CMD to rally 3M Waray votes for ‘Alyansa’

TINGOG Party-list and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), led by Speaker Martin Romualdez, are set to stage a massive regional unity rally in Eastern Visayas on Thursday to consolidate the region’s 3 million Waray votes in support of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate.

The rally, to be held in Tacloban City, is expected to gather a formidable lineup of political figures, including six governors, 13 district representatives, seven city mayors, 136 municipal mayors, and at least 10,000 local leaders and volunteers across party lines.

The event will begin with a motorcade through Tacloban and culminate in a grand assembly at the Tacloban Astrodome.

“This is the voice of a region united behind President Marcos’ vision of a Bagong Pilipinas,” said Tingog Rep. Yedda Romualdez.

“Eastern Visayas is not just participating—we are leading,” she added.

All 11 Alyansa senatorial candidates have been invited to present their platforms, which focus on job creation, education, peace, and inclusive growth.

The slate includes Benhur Abalos, Abby Binay, Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla, Francis Tolentino, Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao, Tito Sotto, Erwin Tulfo, and Camille Villar.

Speaker Romualdez emphasized the region’s unified stance: “Kapag nagkakaisa ang rehiyon, umuusad ang buong bansa. Region 8 stands for unity, service, and nation-building.”

Tingog said the rally will also highlight grassroots leadership and Eastern Visayas’ commitment to credible, compassionate governance. “When regions rise in unity, the nation moves forward. This is Eastern Visayas’ voice—strong, united, and ready for a better Philippines,” the party said.
