Iglesia ni Cristo backs 8 Senate bets for 2025

THE influential Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has thrown its support behind eight senatorial candidates for the 2025 midterm polls.

As in past elections, the church released a sample ballot listing its chosen bets—a mix of incumbents, former lawmakers, and political veterans from different parties.

Topping the list is former senator Bam Aquino, who is running under the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino. He is joined by Senators Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, and Camille Villar—all part of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Also endorsed are Senators Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa and Bong Go, both from the PDP-Laban, and SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, who is running as an independent aligned with the PDP. Rounding out the slate is Senator Imee Marcos of the Nacionalista Party.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed that the sample ballots were already being distributed to church members this week.

INC endorsements are often seen as critical in tight races. The group is known for its practice of bloc voting, which gives its chosen candidates a potential head start of millions of votes.

With more than 2.6 million members reported in 2015, the INC remains a political force to reckon with—especially during national elections.
