ACTRESS and barangay chair Angelika Dela Cruz expressed fear for her life after being charged with plunder before the Ombudsman.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote, “Grabe talaga ang politics, pag hindi nila nakuha ang gusto nila, sisiraan ka, tapos ang next step, kakasuhan ka. Haayyy, baka sa susunod niyan ipapatay niyo ako ah.”
Angelika, who serves as chair of Barangay Longos in Malabon City, was charged on Monday with plundering at least P70 million from the barangay’s public funds.
The actress-politician, who is currently running for vice mayor in the upcoming midterm elections, also faces administrative charges for neglect of duties, frequent absences without official leave, and the unauthorized transfer of her official responsibilities to her brother, Kagawad Erick Dela Cruz.
