PORMAL nang mamanukin ng PDP-Laban wing sa pangunguna ni Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte bilang pambato ng partido sa pagka-bise presidente sa darating na halalan.
Ginawa ang desisyon ng partido base sa credential, advocacies at vision para sa bansa ng anak ni Pangulong Duterte.
“The decision to adopt Mayor Sara has been made by the PDP Laban National Executive Committee based on her credentials, advocacies, and vision for our Nation,” ayon sa kalatas ng partido.
Isinasapinal pa ng PDP-Laban ang pakikipag-alyansa nito sa partido na kinabibilangan ni Duterte na Lakas-CMD.
“Based on these, the PDP Laban has decided that the quality of her advocacies and vision are strongly aligned with that of the party,” ayon pa sa partido.
“The party believes that Mayor Sara’s election to the vice presidency will help ensure the continuity of the vital programs of the current administration which now constitute the legacy to our Nation of PDP Laban Chairman, President Rodrigo Duterte,” dagdag pa nito.
Hindi naman pa tinukoy ng partido kung ia-adopt rin ng PDP-Laban ang katandem ni Duterte na si dating Senador Bongbong Marcos Jr.
