ILANG araw bago ang halalan, hiinimok ni Pangulong Duterte ang mga Pilipino na pumili ng mabubuting lider.
“The elections are fast approaching. This is the time that we choose good leaders who not only have wisdom, but also in their heart the spirit of public service,” ani Duterte sa rally ng mga lokal na kandidato ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) sa Cainta, Rizal nitong Martes.
Umapela rin si Duterte sa mga botante na pumili ng mga kandidato na “who will ensure that everyone lives the best life they can live.”
Kasamang dumalo ng Pangulo sa event sina dating Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan,
dating chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo, dating Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission chairman Greco Belgica, veteran radio broadcaster Rey Langit, Robin Padilla, at dating Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.
Dumalo rin sina Sen. Migz Zubiri, dating Defense chief Gilberto Teodoro Jr., dating presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr., House Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda, at dating Public Works secretary Mark Villar.
“I therefore humbly ask that you give them the same support and confidence that you have given me in the past many years,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“Let therefore unite and work together with the candidates of the PDP-Laban so we can secure a brighter future for our beloved country and for the future,” dagdag niya.
