SINABI ng OCTA Research Group na maliit ang tsansa na magkaroon ng pagtaas ng mga kaso ng coronavirus disease (Covid-19) ngayong Pasko sa harap ng banta ng bagong Omicron variant.
Sa isang panayam sa DZMM, sinabi ni OCTA Research fellow at molecular biologist Fr. Nicanor Austriaco, Jr. na maaari pa ring ipagdiwang nang masaya ang kapaskuhan ngayong taon.
“I have to tell the chances of a surge before Christmas is very small. The pandemic is at the best time now than any time in the last 20 minutes. The cases are so low, the vaccines are so high that we should be able to celebrate Pasko well,” sabi ni Austriaco.
Idinagdag ni Austriaco na dapat lamang sundin ang mga umiiral na mga protocol para makatiyak na ligtas sa virus.
“We still have to wear mask, be careful with our lolos and lolas. it’s time to celebrate. There is no need to panic. We have the best protection now. We just have to pray and be prepared and get vaccinated,” dagdag ni Austriaco.
