“Maybe towards June, if we work on testing, isolation, expanding treatment. If we strengthen, not just maximize, resources and also improve coordination, collaboration, between private sector, civil society and local government units, we should be down by first week of June to nearing the levels we had, or a little over 1,000 cases,” sabi ni Rye.

“In Metro Manila, it moved down from a peak of 5,500 cases to 3,144 cases. It is taking time, it’s a huge number, the base number is very high. When we started, 11,000 just a month ago for the whole country, and over 5,000 for the NCR. It will take time for us to heal the incubation period,” paliwanag ni Rye.

“For Covid-19 it is around two weeks, it is taking on the average, between 14 to 21 days, for people to heal, so it’s taking time. People have to understand that we still have a long way to go to get back to the numbers that we had before we had a surge,” dagdag niya.
