UMAASA ang Department of Tourism (DOT) na papayagan na ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang pag-travel palabas ng NCR Plus ng mga bibiyahe na negatibo sa Covid-19 test.
Ani Tourism Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, ginawa na niya ang panukala noon pang umiiral ang modified enhanced community quarantine sa Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, at Bulacan.
“Ngayon, nag-strict GCQ na tayo, we again asked, pwede na ba from NCR Plus to travel out as long as may test before travel? Ang pinayagan lang nila is staycation within the NCR plus bubble,” ani Puyat.
Dagdag niya: “We are hoping that by June 1, kung mag-GCQ na tayo, our cases are going down, na finally payagan nila.”
Giit ng kalihim na hindi resulta ng turismo ang pagdami ng kaso ng Covid-19 sa mga probinsya.
“So we are hoping that by June 1, pumayag na, especially the DOH and health experts. Kami naman in the DOT, we are always pushing for the restart of tourism but of course with health and safety,” aniya.
