ISINULONG ng isang kongresista ang panukalang batas na naglalayong bigyan ng pitong araw na bereavement leave with pay ang lahat ng mga empleyado sakaling may pumanaw sa kanyang pamilya.
Sa ilalim ng House Bill No. 4340 na inihain ni Quezon City Rep. Marvin Rillo, sakop ng panukala ang lahat ng pribado at kawani ng pamahalaan.
“The death of a loved one creates considerable physical, emotional and psychological burden on employees, who deserve a break from work to grieve and attend to funeral arrangements,” sabi ni Rillo.
“The paid bereavement leave, once enacted, will go a long way in cultivating a truly compassionate workplace for every Filipino,” aniy
