ONE of the victims in a road rage shooting incident in Antipolo City has died from his injuries, prompting authorities to upgrade the charges against the suspect to murder, according to City Police Chief Lt. Col. Ryan Manongdo.
In a Facebook live broadcast on Monday, Manongdo confirmed the death of the victim, identified only as alias “Peter”, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
The police initially filed frustrated murder complaints, but these will now be amended following Peter’s death.
“One of the victims has died, so we will upgrade the case. The victim shot in the head, who was seen lying on the ground, has passed away,” Manongdo stated.
Two other victims, identified by the aliases “Patrick” and “Davis”, were also injured.
Patrick suffered a gunshot wound to the right arm, while Davis was hit in the right chest while trying to break up the fight. The suspect’s wife was also wounded.
The 28-year-old suspect identified only as Kenneth was arrested after the attack. He is also facing charges of violation of election gun ban.
