PNP ready to assist Interpol in possible arrest of Duterte co-accused

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) is prepared to assist Interpol should the International Criminal Court (ICC) issue additional arrest warrants for officials linked to the previous administration’s deadly drug war.

PNP spokesperson and Calabarzon police chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said they have a process in place, following former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest on March 11 over alleged crimes against humanity.

“With other allies also facing charges, we already have a template,” Fajardo said in a Sunday interview on dzBB.

She added that the PNP has not yet received information on further arrest warrants.
