PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that his administration is committed to ensuring that no Filipino will suffer from flooding.
During his visit to Tagum City, Davao del Norte, PBBM stated that he has directed the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to expedite the completion of the remaining flood control projects in the province.
Marcos explained that the current flood control projects are designed differently from traditional ones.
These projects, he said, are not solely for flood prevention but are also capable of storing water for irrigation and household use.
Moreover, the President mentioned that, if feasible, these projects will be equipped with solar panels to generate free electricity from the sun. (GP)
