NAGLABAS ng show cause order si Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II laban sa isang driver na umatake at nagkasa pa ng baril sa harap ng isang nagbibisikleta sa Welcome Rotonda malapit sa boundary ng Maynila at Quezon City.
Idinagdag ni Mendoza na ipinalabas ang show cause order laban sa may ari ng red sedan na sangkot sa road rage na inisyu ni LTO-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Roque Verzosa III.
“We assure the public of our swift action on this matter. In as much as we want to immediately impose sanctions based on the viral video, we have to observe and respect due process and this includes a fair conduct of investigation,” sabi ni Mendoza.
Nangyari ang insidente noong Agosto 8 at naging viral noong Linggo. Makikita sa video na lumabas ang lalaking driver sa isang pulang sedan at biglang inatake ang siklista. Naglabas pa ng baril ang lalaki at ikinasa sa harap ng biktima.
