KATATALAGA pa lang bilang Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation, dinisbar naman ng Korte Suprema ang abogadong si Larry Gadon.
Sa botong 15-0, nagdesisyon ang Korte Suprema na idisbar si Gadon dahil sa pagmumura at paggamit ng mga malalaswa o bastos na pananalita laban sa mamamahayag na si Raissa Robles sa isang viral video, ayon sa press statement na inilabas nitong Miyerkules.
Ayon sa korte, nilabag ni Gadon ang Canon II in propriety na nakalahad sa bagong Code of Professional and Accountability na nagsasabi na “[a] lawyer shall, at all times, act with propriety and maintain the appearance of propriety in personal and professional dealings, observe honesty, respect and courtesy, and uphold the dignity of the legal profession consistent with the highest standards of ethical behavior.”
Hindi rin anya napagtanto ni Gadon na ang mga abogado ay dapat na umiwas sa mga “scandalous behavior” mapasapribado man o pampublikong pamumuhay.
Bukod dito, pinatawan din si Gadon ng direct contempt dahil sa alegasyon nito kina Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen at Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa na pagiging bias.
Bago pa ang disbarment, nauna na ring sinuspinde ng Korte Suprema si Gadon dahil sa kanyang mga pananalita.
Nahaharap din ang bagong talagang opisyal sa anim na administrative case sa Office of the Bar Confidant, at apat sa Commission on Bar Discipline ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
“Although these cases have yet to be decided, the volume of administrative complaints filed against Atty. Gadon indubitably speaks of his character,” giit pa ng Korte.
Nitong Lunes, itinalaga si Gadon ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos bilang Adviser sa Poverty Alleviation.
