SINABI ni Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. na tumaas ng 10 porsiyento ang koleksyon ng buwis sa unang limang buwan ng 2023.
Idinagdag ni Lumagui na umabot ng P1.056 trilyon ang koleksyon mula Enero hanggang Mayo o 9.94 porsiyento o P95.454 bilyong mas malaki kumpara sa koleksyon sa kahalintulad na panahon noong isang taon.
Aabot sa P2.599 trilyon ang target na koleksyon ng BIR sa 2023 o mas mataas ng 10.95 porsiyento o P256.444 bilyon.
“With the intensification of the Bureau’s tax enforcement activities, specifically on the campaign against sellers and buyers of fake receipts, we are confident that the BIR can attain, if not surpass, its annual collection target this year,” sabi ni Lumagui.
