SINABI ni dating PTV general manager at Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) president at CEO Kat de Castro na itinalaga siya bilang deputy director general ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA), na nasa ilalim ng Office of the President.
“The invigorated PIA under (President Marcos Jr.) and Usec Mon (Cualoping) will make sure that communication is a two-way street. Information from the government must reach every Filipino and every Filipino must be able to reach out to the government,” aniya sa isang Facebook post.
Si Kat ay anak ng beteranong mamamahayag at ABS-CBN news anchor na si Noli de Castro at ng yumaong si Arlene de Castro, na dating vice president for current affairs ng ABS-CBN.
