HONEYLET Avanceña lashed out at those behind the incarceration of her common-law partner, former President Rodrigo Duterte, saying they are bound to go “straight to hell.”
In a media interview in The Hague on April 9, Honeylet recalled asking Duterte how he felt about his detention.
“I asked him, ‘How do you feel? Are you angry?’ He said, ‘No.’ Kaya ‘yung mga gumawa sa kaniya nito—impiyerno kayo!” she exclaimed. “All he cared for was about his country, alam n’yo ‘yan,” she added.
Calling the move to imprison Duterte at the International Criminal Court (ICC) a grave mistake, Honeylet insisted the former President was neither a thief nor a drug user.
“Akala nila that will put him down. Nagkamali sila. Wrong move,” she said.
