ISINAMPA na sa Kamara ang impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte Lunes ng hapon.
Inihain ang complaint ng coalition ng civil society at mga sectoral representatives at inendorso naman ni Akbayan party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña.
Culpable violation of the Constitution, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of public trust, at iba pang krimen ang ground na isinusulong para ma-impeach ang bise presidente.
Ang mga complainants ay sina dating peace adviser Teresita Quintos Deles, Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, former Magdalo Party-list representative Gary Alejano at mga pamilya ng mga biktima ng drug war noong panahon ng nakaraang administrasyon.
Sinamahan sila ni dating Senador Leila De Lima, na siya rin nilang spokesperson.
“Public office is not a throne of privilege. It is a position of trust. Sara Duterte has desecrated that trust with her blatant abuses of power. This impeachment is not just a legal battle but a moral crusade to restore dignity and decency to public service,” ayon kay De Lima sa isang kalatas.
