‘Imburnal Girl’ admits to past vice: ‘Pero hindi naman ho araw-araw’

THE woman who went viral after being photographed emerging from a manhole in Makati City has admitted to having a vice, but said she did not do it regularly.

In an episode of Pinoy Pawnstars, vlogger Boss Toyo featured the woman identified only as “Rosemarie,” who drew widespread attention after a photo of her coming out of a drainage canal circulated on social media.

Rosemarie explained that she entered the manhole to retrieve her cutter blade, which she uses to collect and sort recyclable plastic bottles and cardboard. She said she was surprised when the photo went viral.

Boss Toyo, known for collecting viral and pop culture items, bought the now-infamous cutter blade from Rosemarie for P5,000. He later doubled the amount to P10,000 and asked her to sign the item, which he said would be displayed in his personal museum.

During their on-camera conversation, Rosemarie admitted to having a vice, but clarified, “Hindi naman ho araw-araw.”

She also revealed that she used to cut herself in her younger years, showing faded scars on her wrist to the vlogger.

Her husband, who accompanied her during the interview, said they have since stopped engaging in vices, especially now that they are under close monitoring by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

As part of its assistance program, the DSWD provided the couple with P80,000 in financial aid to help them start a small sari-sari store.

The agency is also considering Rosemarie as a potential ambassador for its community rehabilitation initiatives.
