INUNAHAN ng Department of Education (DepEd) na iniimbestigahan ang isang guro dahil sa “potential child abuse action” kaugnay sa TikTok video niya na nag-viral.
Ayon sa Kagawaran, inatasan ni Secretary Leonor Briones ang DepEd-Central Luzon na bigyan ng nararapat na kaparusahan ang guro na hindi pinangalanan.
Sa viral video, makikita ang guro na may username na @leobondoclopez na nagsasayaw at nagpapa-cute para mapansin ng cute niyang estudyante.
Sa kasalukuyan ay naka-private na ang TikTok account ng guro.
“We remind our teachers and non-teaching personnel to always subject our words and actions, including our social media activities, to the highest degree of ethical and professional standards,” ayon sa kalatas ng DepEd.
Ipinaalala rin ng kagawaran sa mga guro na ‘always champion a safe and nurturing learning environment for children, where physical, verbal, sexual and other forms of abuse and discrimination are renounced.”
“As we celebrate National Children’s Month, DepEd will continue to strengthen its policies and capacity-building activities to further promote our advocacy of protecting our learners against abuse,” dagdag ng DepEd.
