DTI: No hike in some food product prices

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said manufacturers have agreed not to increase the prices of several food products for the time being.

Amanda Nograles, assistant secretary and supervising head of DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG), said the DTI met with manufacturers who pledged to keep prices steady for processed foods, bottled water, processed milk, and instant noodles.

She said each manufacturer has provided different terms, with some committing to a 60-day freeze on prices.
