IMBES na Cabinet members, mga health experts ang dapat mamuno sa Covid-19 response ng pamahalaan, ayon kay Sen. Imee Marcos.
“I think there are very competent men and women in the IATF, however, these are the Cabinet members,” ani Marcos sa panayam ng CNN Philippines.
“I strongly suggest that they put together a complete task force rather than just holding in all these Cabinet members who as we know are very, very busy with full departments to run,” dagdag niya.
Ani Marcos, ang dapat i-appoint ni Pangulong Duterte ay ang mga tao na “who are sure of what they’re doing” na mula sa Department of Health, University of the Philippines’ Philippine General Hospital, at Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.
Muli ring nanawagan ang senadora na buwagin na ang IATF dahil sa pagiging inutil nito sa pagsugpo ng Covid sa bansa.
Idinagdag niya na kung sakaling lilikha ng bagong task force ay huwag nang ipahawak ito kay vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr.
“Although he is a competent soldier, Galvez may be taking orders from too many people,” hirit ni Marcos.
