PINAG-aaralan nang mabuti ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang mungkahi na bigas na lamang ang ibigay kaysa cash sa mga beneficiary ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
“It was suggested in the meeting that we have the 4Ps. For example, for DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development), we told the President if we can convert the 4Ps in terms of money, it should be in rice form, supplied by NFA (National Food Authority),” ayon kay Agriculture Undersecretary Roger Navarro sa press conference sa Palasyo ngayong Martes.
“The President is saying that we will consider the proposal, and we will take a look at how to implement this program,” dagdag pa ni Navarro.
Anya positibo ang tugon ng pangulo sa mungkahi na mas makabubuting bigas ang ipamahagi sa mga benepisyaryo ng 4Ps.
Ang 4Ps ay ang conditional cash transfer program na ipinapamahagi sa mga pamilyang mahihirap na bibigyan sila ng cash aid kapalit ng pagpasok sa eskwela ng mga bata.
