KINANSELA ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang registration ng An Waray party-list matapos umano itong lumabag sa probisyon ng Republic Act number 7941 o Party-List System Act.
Sinabi ni Comelec spokesperson Atty. John Rex Laudiangco, nilabag ng An Waray ang probisyon Party-list System Act dahil pinayagan nitong umupo ang abogadong si Victoria Isabel Noel bilang kinatawan sa Kamara noong 16th Congress sa kabila na walang inisyu ang poll body na certificate of proclamation.
“Without a certificate of proclamation for its second nominee, An Waray was entitled to one seat only in relation to the 2013 national and local elections, thus Atty. Noel’s assumption in office as representative of An Waray had no legal basis,” sabi ni Laudiangco.
