INAPRUBAHAN ng National Water Resources Board (NWRB) ang kahilingan ng Maynilad at Manila Water na taasan ang alokasyon nila mula sa Angat Dam sa harap ng nararanasang water interruption sa Metro Manila.
Sinabi ni NWRB Executive Director Sevillo David Jr. na itinaas sa 50 cubic meter per second ang alokasyon ng dalawang water concessionaires mula sa naunang inaprubahang 48 cubic meter per second na epektibo mula Abril 1 hanggang 15, 2023.
“Nag-request ang mga MWSS ng additional allocation from 48 to 50 cubic meter per second for the next two months. The board deliberated on their request but considering the pronouncement of PAGASA meron tayong nagbabadyang El Nino phenomenon, the board has decided to grant the volume of around 50 cms for the period April 1 to 15,” sabi ni David.
Idinagdag ni David na layunin ng karagdagang alokasyon na tumaas ang lebel ng La Mesa Dam at Ipo Dam para masolusyunan ang nararanasang rotational water interruption.
