KINUMPIRMA ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) na dalawang Pinoy ang nasawi at dalawang iba pa ang nasugatan sa missile attack ng Houthi rebels sa isang cargo vessel sa Yemen.
“With great sadness, the DMW confirms the deaths of two Filipino seafarers in the most recent attack by Houthi rebels on ships plying the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden,” ayon sa DMW.
“We are also informed that two other Filipino crewmen were severely injured in the attack on their ship. We pray for their immediate recovery,” dagdag pa nito.
Inataka ng Houthi rebels ang commercial ship na True Confidence na tumatawid sa Red Sea Miyerkules, na ikinasawi ng tatlong crew nito.
