NAGHAIN ng resolusyon sina Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri at Senador Pia Cayetano para imbestigahan ang road rage sa Quezon City na kinasasangkutan ng isang dismissed na pulis at isang siklista.
Inihain ng dalawa ang Senate Resolution No. 763 para bigyan-daan ang imbestigasyon na titiyak sa public order at safety habang ipinatutupad ang road sharing a kadalasan ay binabalewala ng maraming motorista.
“This is a serious case involving public order and safety, which cannot simply be settled amicably and swept under the rug,” pahayag nina Cayetano at Zubiri sa isang kalatas.
“The issue also highlights the safety of cyclists on the road, and the issue of road sharing, a concept that remains ignored by and alien to many Filipino motorists, which means that one must share in the responsibility of ensuring everyone’s safety, as everyone has an equal right to access public roads,” ayon pa sa resolusyon.
Nag-viral ang video ng dating pulis na si Wilfredo Gonzales na nahuli sa aktong nambatok at nagkasa ng baril sa harap ng isang siklista noong Agosto 8 sa Welcome Rotunda sa boundary ng Quezon City at Maynila.
