MOST parts of the country will have warm weather caused by the easterlies and isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Monday.
“It will be warm and humid in the afternoon, while rains are likely in the afternoon through the evening,” Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Temperature of up to 35 °C is forecast in Metro Manila, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, and 34 °C in Kalayaan Islands.
The temperature is likely to reach 33 °C in Tagaytay, Laoag, Legazpi, Tacloban, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro.
Meanwhile, severe thunderstorms can cause flash floods and landslides, according to PAGASA.
Badrina said the frontal system affecting extreme Northern Luzon would bring rain showers over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Moderate winds and moderate seas are also forecast in extreme Northern Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
No low pressure area was monitored and there is a slim chance that a tropical cyclone would develop in the next three days. (PNA)
