By Saturday noon to Sunday noon (Oct. 19), heavier rains reaching 100 to 200 mm are expected over Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes, while moderate to heavy rains (50–100 mm) may affect Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Marinduque, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar.
From Sunday noon to Monday noon (Oct. 20), rains are forecast to shift northward, affecting Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Abra, and other parts of Northern Luzon, including the Cordillera provinces, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Central Luzon.
PAGASA said rainfall amounts could be higher in mountainous and elevated areas, and impacts may worsen in locations that have already experienced significant rains in recent days.
The agency advised local disaster risk reduction and management offices to take precautionary measures to safeguard lives and property, and reminded the public to stay alert for Heavy Rainfall Warnings and Thunderstorm Advisories that may be issued by regional offices in the coming hours.
