SHEAR line and the northern monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said shear line will be affecting Southern Luzon.
Metro Manila, the regions of Calabarzon, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas; and the provinces of Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Negros Occidental, and Cebu will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains may occur.
The northern monsoon or amihan will affect the rest of Luzon.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora province will have cloudy skies with rains, while Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Zamboanga Peninsula, as well as the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will have rough winds and coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 23°C to 31°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 23°C; Laoag City, 24°C to 30°C; Tagaytay City, 21°C to 29°C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 30°C; Bacolod City, 26°C to 31°C; Iloilo City, 26°C to 31°C; Cagayan de Oro City, 24°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 32°C.
