A huge part of the country will experience rains on Thursday due to various weather systems, said a forecaster.
The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to affect Northern Luzon and several parts of Central Luzon, bringing rains over the eastern section of Northern Luzon.
Shearline continues to affect the eastern part of Central and Southern Luzon. Some parts of Southern Luzon will experience rains, said Rhea Torres of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Mindanao, parts of the Visayas, and Palawan will experience moderate to heavy rains due to the intertropical convergence zone, she added.
Moderate to heavy rains are forecast in Quezon, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
Meanwhile, Luzon, and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
No low pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.
“We are not expecting any weather disturbance that could affect any part of the country within the next two to three days,” Torres said. (PNA)
