MOST parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Thursday.
“The weak southwest monsoon, however, will bring rains across Northern Luzon,” said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Benison Estareja.
Moderate to at times heavy rains that may cause flash floods and landslides are forecast in Ilocos Region, Batanes province, and Babuyan Islands.
The southwest monsoon will also bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago.
Meanwhile, Estareja said no weather disturbance was spotted near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
“We are also not expecting a tropical cyclone to develop or enter PAR in the next two days,” he said. (PNA)
