Most parts of PH to continue to experience rains due to 3 weather systems

MOST areas in the country will experience rains on Monday due to three prevailing weather systems.

Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or “amihan” affecting Northern Luzon.

The shear line will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Quezon, and Aurora.

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will likewise cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

Isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon will prevail over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

Isolated rain showers will affect the rest of the country due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Strong winds and rough seas are forecast in Northern and Central Luzon.

The eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the archipelago.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said no tropical cyclone was monitored for possible formation.  (PNA)
