HINDI malayong bumalik pa sa bansa sa darating na linggo ang bagyong si Kristine, matapos ang gagawin nitong pananalasa sa Vietnam.
Dahil sa interaksyon ng bagyo sa northeasterly at southwesterly winds, at sa papalapit na tropical cyclone na si “Leon”, posibleng hilahin ng mga ito pabalik si Kristine sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
“If Kristine and Leon maintain their strength to a level of tropical storm at a minimum and keep a maximum distance of 1,500 kilometers, they could pull each other in or even merge to become a single cyclone in a phenomenon called the “Fujiwhara Effect,” ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Benison Estareja.
“So, it is possible that the two will rotate or turn around, but it won’t last long. Leon will eventually move away from the landmass and Kristine will weaken by the first week of November,” dagdag pa nito.
Huling namataan si “Kristine” 410 kilometer kanluran ng Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Bieyrnes ng hapon na may taglay na hangin na 95km per hour at pagbugso na hanggang 115 kph.
Posibleng bumalik ito Linggo o Lunes, ayon pa sa Pagasa.
