THE Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across Mindanao and the Visayas, the weather bureau said Saturday.

The ITCZ will also bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The whole archipelago will still experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau said heat index could peak at 45°C in Aparri, Cagayan; Laoag Ilocos Norte; and Dagupan, Pangasinan.

A 44°C heat index is forecast in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Subic Bay, Olongapo City.

These areas may experience a 43°C heat index:

Sinait, Ilocos Sur;
Batac, Ilocos Norte;
Echague, Isabela;
Baler, Aurora;
Casiguran, Aurora;
Infanta, Quezon; and
Iloilo City, Iloilo

A 42°C heat index is likely in:
