THE Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the Visayas and Mindanao is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over several parts of the country, the weather bureau said Saturday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Bicol Region, the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Cordillera and Ilocos regions, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas during severe thunderstorms.
The northern and western sections of Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
