MOST areas in the country will experience isolated rain showers on Wednesday due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) affecting the western section of southern Luzon will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Palawan.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms could also result in flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the low pressure area (LPA) that PAGASA has been monitoring had already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility and developed into a tropical cyclone.
PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said the cyclone is heading towards China and will not have a direct effect on any part of the Philippines.
The whole archipelago, meanwhile, will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
