Motovlogger faces raps despite apology over road rage incident

THE motovlogger who issued a public apology for a viral road rage incident is still facing possible legal action, according to the family of pickup driver Jimmy Pascual.

The driver’s son confirmed on social media that they are proceeding with the case against the content creator, Yanna, who filmed and uploaded a video showing Pascual’s face and vehicle license plate without permission.

“Update po… tinutuloy po namin ang pagsampa ng reklamo… ito po ang pwedeng ikaso sa babaeng ito!!” the younger Pascual wrote in a now-viral post.

Among the possible violations are provisions under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175), particularly for alleged privacy invasion and cyber libel. A civil suit may also be filed if the family proves reputational harm or threat to safety.

The provincial government of Zambales has declared Yanna persona non grata following the incident.

In a separate video, Yanna apologized and promised to be more mindful.

“Sorry to kuya Jimmy for what I’ve caused. Sorry din po sa citizens of Zambales, the riding community, especially the off road community. This issue is all on me. I’m still learning this especially the hard way. I promise to be more patient next time especially on the road,” she said.

“Na-feel ko na ‘yung mundong maraming galit and ayoko na pong maulit po yun. Sorry po at pasensya po ulit,” she added.

Yanna came under fire after posting a video of a road rage incident involving Pascual. In the clip, which quickly went viral, she was seen confronting him, filming his face and license plate, accusing him of reckless driving, and flipping him off.

Netizens criticized her behavior, citing concerns over privacy and online shaming.
