Lumpia Queen Abi Marquez wins big at Global Blogger Awards in Cannes

FILIPINO food creator Abi Marquez just added another delicious win to her growing list of global achievements—and this time, it’s with a golden trophy in hand.

Taking center stage at the 2025 World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA), Abi was named Best Food Blogger, a proud moment she shared with fans online, gleefully writing, “OMG GUYS NANALO AKO!” alongside a beaming photo holding her award.

But it wasn’t just her content that wowed the crowd.

On the red carpet, Abi made jaws drop in a one-of-a-kind red Filipiniana by designer Jo Rubio, inspired by—get this—Pinoy-style spaghetti.

From her accessories to her nails, every detail was a playful tribute to the well-loved comfort food.

The gown even had “Kain tayo” stitched proudly on it, turning fashion into a flavorful homage to Filipino culture.

The WIBA, held annually in Cannes, honors global creators who inspire change and use their platforms to celebrate diversity, justice, and creativity. Abi’s win places her among the most influential names in content today.

And the global spotlight isn’t new for her.

Abi was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Filipinos in the World this year, following her 2024 nod at the James Beard Media Awards and her spot on Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.

She even caught the attention of culinary legend Gordon Ramsay, who praised her daring creation: Beef Wellington Lumpia—a crossover nobody saw coming but everyone wanted to try.

Abi’s rise proves what many Filipinos already knew: when you mix heart, heritage, and a whole lot of lumpia, the world can’t help but take a bite.
