LTO summons moto vlogger Yanna over viral Zambales road rage incident

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show-cause order against popular content creator Yanna Moto Vlog in connection with a road rage incident in Zambales that recently went viral online.

LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, said the agency is acting in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to uphold road safety and discipline.

Yanna Moto is being asked to explain why her driver’s license should not be suspended or revoked for allegedly provoking a confrontation with another motorist.

“We’ve long been reminding motorists that losing your temper on the road leads to nothing good—and we’ve penalized many for this kind of behavior,” Mendoza said in a statement.

“As a social media personality, she should have used her platform to promote responsible driving, not incite conflict.”

A video of the incident, flagged by the LTO’s social media monitoring team, shows the vlogger making a middle finger gesture at a pickup truck driver, whom she accused of reckless driving.

The pickup driver later approached her to confront her about the gesture and to explain the difficulties of driving on rough terrain.

Despite the explanation, the video shows Yanna continuing to argue and making insulting remarks even after the other motorist had walked away.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon previously said the government would crack down on reckless and irresponsible drivers amid rising road rage cases.

While the vlogger has since issued a public apology following backlash, Mendoza said the LTO will still proceed with its investigation.
