Ivana Alawi: Man in prank video agreed to be filmed

ACTRESS-influencer Ivana Alawi issued a clarification after the man featured in her viral “buntis” prank vlog complained that he suffered online ridicule because his face was not blurred.

In a Facebook post, Ivana said the man had actually consented to appear in the video during filming. “Makikita sa raw footage na pumayag si kuya lumabas sa vlog. Pinakita namin sa kanya yung raw footage at humingi siya ng pasensiya,” she wrote, adding that they showed him the full recording before leaving the area.

According to Ivana, the man told her he only posted out of frustration after being teased by acquaintances who claimed he lost the chance to receive the P100,000 cash that eventually went to “Kuya Hesus,” the beneficiary of the vlog.

She said her team regularly blurs faces of passersby who do not grant permission, noting that many others in the same vlog were blurred for that reason.

Ivana also stressed that the man treated her well during the shoot and even offered her food.

She urged the public to avoid jumping to conclusions based on viral posts. “Paalala: laging may dalawang side ang kuwento,” she said.
