Diwata sorry for calling indigenous wear a ‘costume’

CONTENT creator and pares seller  Diwata issued an apology after receiving backlash for improperly wearing a traditional Cordilleran outfit and referring to it as a “costume.”

In a statement, Diwata addressed the Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC) of the Cordillera, particularly the people of Benguet, La Trinidad, and Baguio, expressing regret for his actions.

He acknowledged his mistake, admitting that her excitement upon visiting Baguio for the first time led to his lapse in judgment.

Moving forward, he vowed to educate herself about indigenous cultures and ensure his content promotes respect and appreciation rather than offense.
