CHLOE San Jose defended boyfriend Carlos Yulo from netizens questioning the absence of his family at his recent birthday celebration.
Carlos, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, turned 25 on Sunday. Chloe shared photos of their celebration on Instagram, showing them enjoying the occasion together.
“To my favorite person in the universe and my heart’s biggest blessing, happy 25th birthday mahal ko. I wish you nothing but the best and the fulfillment of every dream you hold close to your heart,” she wrote.
However, some netizens asked why Carlos’ parents were not present.
Chloe was quick to respond, stating they were not invited. “Why would you invite people to your birthday when they don’t even bother making an effort to greet and celebrate you? Kung gusto mo yung mga ganong bisita sa birthday mo, ikaw na lang sis,” she replied.
She emphasized that Carlos was happy despite his family’s absence. “Yes sis, happy si Caloy, which makes y’all haters shake and your blood boil lmao.”
Chloe also called out the apparent double standard, questioning whether Carlos’ relatives even reached out to greet him. “Eh yung mga relatives niya kaya, naisip mo ba if pinapansin/pinansin and binati man lang nila si Caloy? The double standard.”
